The Progress and What’s Happening on the Ground

I’m currently still in Lubumbashi, Congo, while the team remains in South Africa, and I wanted to share some of the real progress happening on the ground.

The six young men we’ve been journeying with have now moved from the house where we were hosting them into tangible spaces where they can rebuild their lives. We are seeing firsthand the impact of mentorship—how guidance, support, and community can bring real change. One of them has returned to Zambia to reunite with his family due to documentation issues, while others have stepped into opportunities such as employment, rehabilitation, and reconnecting with their loved ones. These stories remind us of the practical importance and true value of this work.

Alongside this, I am continuing my studies, working on my honours in theology while also studying French. I’m also in a very healthy and intentional relationship, where my partner and I are committed to focusing this year on journeying further with young people. As we work on strengthening our relationship, we are also dedicated to building on the foundation that God has already laid for us—collaborating with churches and ministries to find tangible solutions for communities that need it most.
